Aún ando tratando de quitarme de encima el cansancio acumulado del viaje... tras 3.100Km y 4 días de feria, se han quedado acumuladas sensaciones, imágenes, experiencias y la satisfacción de haber conocido a gente estupenda (Stefano Gentile, Francesco Partipilo, Nicola Maggi, Carlo Maria Lolli... y nuestros estupendos caseros y también feriantes Daniella y Dario,)
I'm still trying to shake off the jet lag ... after 3.100Km and 4 days of the Fair, I have been accumulated a lot of feelings, images, experiences and the satisfaction of having met some great people (Stefano Gentile, Francesco Partipilo, Nicola Maggi Carlo Maria Lolli ... and the owners of the house we rent and also gallerist Daniella and Dario)
El pasado lunes 3 salimos camino de Barcelona, donde hicimos parada técnica para recoger a Roberto Silvestrini y completar equipo de feriantes...y el día 4 estábamos ya en Turín...la primera impresión estupenda que tuvimos fue descubrir la casa donde íbamos a dormir!! totalmente acogedora!!
On Monday 3rd we left Madrid and went to Barcelona where we stop to pick up Roberto Silvestrini and complete our fairground equipment ... and 4th November we arrived to Turin
Ahora tocaba ponernos manos a la obra el miércoles 5 con el montaje del stand: una celda y su correspondiente baño.
The 5th November was time to get down to work in the stand: a cell and its bathroom.
En cuanto a la feria como tal, os diría que la localización es estupenda, me ha gustado eso de exponer en una celda! El edificio está lleno de rincones que me vuelvo con la sensación de no haber explotado lo suficiente. Otro de los aspectos que nos ha dejado un buen sabor de boca ha sido la gran afluencia de público, (sobre todo del jueves al sábado), a veces era totalmente imposible pasar al stand! Impresionante la curiosidad y las ganas de ver nuestras piezas.
As for the show itself, I would say the location is great, I really liked to show my artworks in a cell! The building is full of corners that I think I had not time enough for being sufficiently exploited with my camera. Another aspect that has left a good impression has been the large number of people, (especially from Thursday to Saturday), sometimes it was totally impossible to go into the stand! Stunning the curiosity and the desire to see our pieces.
Hasta aquí lo positivo...desgraciadamente no se trata de una feria donde haya conciencia de compra por parte de los visitantes, no sé si por error de planteamiento desde la dirección que no lo deja claro, o bien porque lo de ver arte les encanta pero lo de gastarse dinero en las piezas ya es otro cantar... así que como diría nuestro vecino Francesco Partipilo... "naaada de naaaada de naaaada"... una verdadera pena. Algo que hace muy complicado que regresemos el año que viene.
Until here the positive things... unfortunately this is a fair where there is no awareness of purchase
by the visitors. I do not know if this is because an error approach from the
direction that do not clarify that works can be buyed, or this is just because
in this area People love to see art, but when they have to spend money, it is
another story ... so I must say like our neighbor Francesco Partipilo ...
"naaada de naaaada de naaaada" This greatly complicates to repeat next year....a real shame!.
